Hemmings Find of the Day – 1972 Datsun 240Z

SBC-swapped 1972 Datsun 240Z for sale on Hemmings.com. From the seller’s description:

Chevy 350 solid lifter conversion done in the early 80’s. Car was purchased new by a customer of my friend’s body shop and painted this color the first week. Original color was yellow. Customer drove the car for a few years and sold it to the body shop where the owner has had the car until I purchased it a couple of years ago. I was told by the shop that the car has less than 30,000 original miles, and has been in storage in the shop most of its life. T-10 4 speed, Acura seats, roll bar. I sourced and installed a rebuilt 3:54 closed R200 Limited Slip Differential which is extremely rare. Hayashi wheels and Yokohama tires. Custom all steel hood fabricated by my friends father. Color is beautiful but a 10 footer I believe a Corvette color of the same era. Note: This car is not an original “Scarab” but a professional conversion.
