Today is Thursday, October 11, 2018 Day 4 of the LMC Truck C-10 Nationals Classic Trucks Week To Wicked build presented by Gandrud Performance Parts and the Week to Wicked build crew has been making rapid progress installing all the little details that are time and labor intensive. The benefits of lowered truck is it has a lower center of gravity, and thanks to CPP engineering the suspension we installed on this 1972 Chevy C10 pickup the ride is as good if not better than a stock 1967-72 Chevy C10 pickup. That said, building a lowered truck means one has to pay special attention to ensuring components such as the exhaust system don’t drag on the ground, or bang on the bed, or body.
The mechanical parking brake is one of those areas that can be a real pain in the neck to route past the exhaust system, or the driveshaft just to mention a few trouble spots. Typically most folks eliminate the parking brake altogether and that not really a good idea. And especially not if one lives in state, province, or country where a safety check like England’s MOT has to be passed in order for the truck to be legally registered to drive.
Our friends at CPP came up with a really innovative way to handle installing a fully functional parking brake starting with a product that’s already available on the market and then engineering brackets and accessories CPP sells to make it work perfect for any Chevy C10. Checkout the photos and notice how the E-Stopp electrical parking brake tucks up on the frame rail out of the way of driveshaft and exhaust system. And by the for a 10 percent discount off any CPP product mention on the phone or online “the LMC Truck C-10 Nationals Classic Trucks Week To Wicked build presented by Gandrud Performance Parts Stay tuned because tomorrow is the big day where we’ll turn the key and bring LMC Truck C-10 Nationals Classic Trucks Week To Wicked build presented by Gandrud Performance Parts to life!
