This 2001 Jaguar XJR has just 16,700 miles and is powered by a supercharged 4.0L V8 paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission. The car was sold new at Jaguar of Huntington in New York and been registered in New York State and New Jersey from new. The original owner passed the car on to her brother in 2016, from whom the seller acquired it in 2017. The belts, fuel pumps, and filters have since been replaced, and the seller also flushed the fuel tank, coolant, and transmission fluid. This XJR is now offered with the original books, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New Jersey title in the seller’s name.
This example was delivered new finished in black (PED) per the door-jamb sticker, with no accidents or damage are mentioned on the attached Carfax report. Factory “asteroid” 18″ alloy wheels are equipped, with a matching spare shown in the trunk. US-market XJRs are equipped with chrome window trim rather than the matte-black used elsewhere.
This is a re-list after the car previously sold on BaT in August 2018 and the winning bidder failed to follow through with his purchase commitment. That buyer has been banned from any further participation in BaT Auctions and his buyer’s fee was not refunded.
XJR models are equipped with sport-tuned suspension, as well as variable-ratio rack-and-pinion steering. Exterior features include a stainless steel mesh grille with a body-colored surround, plus larger circular exhaust outlets.
The cabin is finished in black leather (LEG) with contrasting burlwood veneers on the dash, steering wheel, and doors. Some wear is visible on the black leather driver’s seat, and the other seating surfaces are pictured in the gallery. The car retains the stock stereo, and the seller notes that the radio, heat, and A/C are functional.
Under 17k miles are reported, several hundred of which were added by the seller during his ownership.
The supercharged 4.0L V8 was factory rated at 370 horsepower and 387 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed Mercedes-Benz 5G-Tronic automatic transmission. Since his purchase, the seller has replaced the belts, flushed the fuel tank and coolant, added new transmission fluid, and replaced the fuel pumps and filters. Service records are said to date back to new.
Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
The window sticker is attached and shows the original colors and configuration. The only optional item is the navigation system, bringing the MSRP to $72,950 including transportation fees. Two keys and remotes are included.
The Carfax shows history with the original owner through 2016, her brother through 2017, and the seller through the present day. No accidents or issues are noted.
